Onto a new adventure in my life, the blogging world. I have followed others blogs for years and I have become so inspired with all the wonderful things all of you teachers are doing! I have pondered the idea of creating a blog for myself because I LOVE what I do and I'd LOVE to share what I do with others. Today is the day I found the courage to do so.
I guess I am not a complete newbie. I have been blogging since 2012 but it is a classroom blog for my students, their parents, and their family. I have never really thought of it as an educational blog because it was more of a classroom website forum.
So here I go feet first into one of the scariest things I have ever done. I plan to share with you what goes on my in my classroom, school, and personal life!
A little about myself, this is my sixth year teaching kindergarten. I taught 3 years in Dallas, TX and now I am going into my third year in Austin, TX. I love kindergarten and can't imagine doing anything other than coming home with colored markers all over myself every day! I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois. So now you are wondering how in the world did you find yourself in Texas?!? Oh those southern boys, don't they have such charm? My college sweetheart was from Texas and when the chances of getting a job in education wasn't looking to high in Illinois we decided to move down here. I'll never move back, hose winters YUCK!
